    Default Problem with Forum access

    Hi,

Im new to this forum, Ive tried asking a question about callbacks and TableViews in the New Area because that was the only forum I had access to when I joined up,

Now I cant reply to my own thread to ask more questions, nor can I make a new thread in that forum to ask why.

Have I been banned or something? I dont think I did anything wrong. Ive only been learning Java for 6 weeks.

Have I broken a rule, can someone explain what is going on?

If you can post here you should be able to post there.
As far as I know there's no mechanism for banning from specific bits of the forum.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.

But there are problems with the forum software. Here are a few that I remember.

    1. Don't put the word print in your subject (not certain if it is position dependent). It can
render you thread, useless and require moderator intervention.
    2. If you post code with a percentage sign in it you won't be able to edit the post (at least
it used to be that way. Haven't tried it in a while).
    3. Sometimes block comments aren't handled properly. They mess up the formatter.
    4. And for the longest time I haven't been able to log into the forum without getting
reprompted for another login. So I simply bookmark the subscriptions link and go directly there with
    auto login and it works.

And if you are ever banned, someone will certainly let you know.

    Regards,
    Jim

No banning was involved (there was no reason for it) and as far as I can see, the OP can post in his threads, and I assume s/he can create new threads.

    kind regards,

    Jos
