You would be better served to learn Java and write your own programs. Check out the
tutorials in my signature. Or buy a book.

I will def try your tutorials Jim.

Bought books before. I don't like to read IT books. Prefer PDF's, internet, real examples, and jump straight to business.

Have you got some program you could send me to fiddle with?

What this guy did is pretty cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaSj0BQk6oU

Actually, I just post the link. They are the Oracle tutorials.

You might want to check out Java World publication. They usually have good articles. But definitely check out the tutorials
as they will save you lots of headaches regarding syntax and class organization. If you are not using an IDE but doing command
line development (text editor and explicit compilation) they you need to have a good working knowledge of class paths and
packages and how they are structured in a file system.

Not really. But if you want to look at some code, I recommend checking out the Java API source files that come with the JDK distro. I find it interesting how they do some things. But it does not lend itself to alteration.

    I will be using Eclipse.

    Will check it right away!
But what i am looking for is a program like a calculator or an internet one where you change the code in Eclipse and when you refresh the browser the changes reflect.
Basically something you can edit code and see the changes via a GUI immediately.

I forgot to mention that there are quite a few examples at the tutorial site. And there are immediate links to the source code
for each example. They cover basic stuff thru some graphics and gui's. Should keep you busy for a while.
