Question College Course or AP Exam?

This isn't really a coding issue, but I've been torn about this decision in Java. So there's this program called College in the High School, where you take the full course in highschool as a college course. Then there the AP Exam for Java, which is considerably cheaper, and what you get on that one test determines your credits you receive for college.

I don't know which is better to work with. Any suggestions or experience on this?

There really isn't a "better" of the two. It depends entirely on what you want to do. How do you plan on passing the AP exam without taking the class?

That already kind of answers it in itself. If you know the stuff then you can go the cheap route and take the test. If you don't know/understand the material, you need to bite the bullet and take the course.

If there is one thing I've learned over the years, its that there is nothing more expensive than something cheap/free. Expense tends to involve way more than money.
