    Talking Where to learn java???

I have been searching for a website to learn java but the ones i found did not explain things at all and i had absolutely no understanding.

PLZ i need an interactive website or something that can teach me java very well while explaining things slowly and effectively. Again, i am a complete programming beginner and i need something that will treat me like one. Basically, i need something EASY

Every single week this question is asked.

There is no site in existence that does what you want. There is only one way to learn Java and that is to do it the way that all people experienced in Java did it. Through hard work and study. I'm sure you know how study works. You research several quality resources generally in the form of books written by respected authors, and you experiment.

The Java Tutorials from Oracle are a good place to start.
If there are any specific issues you need to raise regarding anything to do with Java then there are those on here who can help.

A little later it would be worth familiarising yourself with some of the Java 8 APIs; functionality provided by the language. Don't get carried away with these at this early stage, just an awareness will get you started. But then, even then 'Hello World' program makes use of these.

And please do not revert to using the 'For Dummies' series of books as these will last you all of five minutes.

    Regards.

I have a similar question and didn't want to start a whole new thread to ask it. I am learning Java for my Intro to Computer Science II class and we are using Starting Out With Java by Tony Gaddis as our textbook. I really like the book and find it easy to read and comprehend, but it's only an intro book. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good "next level" book for after I complete this course? Or is there not one and should I just learn from experimenting after this?

I recommend you wait until you finish your current course with the current book to worry about that. By then you will have a
different perspective on the language and would know more about what you are seeking. There are also books on specific topics
in Java such as concurrency, collections, generics, reflection, and best practices.

When I started learning the language (does anyone ever really finish learning a language?) I found The Java Tutorial and The Java Tutorial Continued from Addison-Wesley to be good references. They are pretty old now, 1996 and 1999 respectively; but there is still some relevant information there and they are quite well written. I also like the In A Nutshell series from O'Reilly.
