Exclamation Need help on creating a bullet/firing system?

So, I have been following tutorials on a Slick API 2D Game Java tutorial, and I got the basics of how to use the API. But then, when I was playing around and trying to make a game. I tried to implient a bullet/firing system into my 2D space shooter game. And I can't seem to find a way to do it! I've tried looking around on Google and YouTube, but it's not helping at all...! I'm hoping someone can help me out, by explaining it really simply to a beginner programmer. :)

    Any help is MUCH appreciated!

Which ways did you try? Upon a keystroke you create a bullet object and every update of your frame you move it into the firing direction and check for collisions... is that what you are looking for?

If you don't understand my response, don't ignore it, ask a question.
