    Default Jar File Creation

    Is there an easy way (possibly using i/o and util) to take a directory and make it into a jar file? The directory has the needed classes and a manifest (if needed).

    Java comes with the jar tool. There are also jar classes in the API for working with jars. Take a look at this link:
