Unhappy hello, please help with java!!!

Yesterday I tried to install java on my laptop in order to access a chat box on my blog. Although I succeeded installing it , it seems that java recommended the wrong version (32bit) and it seems I have a 64 windows.

Now after installing and uninstalling java several times in order to make it work, I am at a point where while trying to install i get the following error:

"Another version of this program is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove programs on the control panel"

Now the problem is that there is NO java program on the control panel, I have deleted java files in the registry and I have used javaRa to remove older versions. Can someone help me please?

Since you are messed up, do the following.

    1. Remove all the Java (JDK/JRE) installations from your local machine
    2. Find what's your OS version (32bit of 64bits)
    3. Download the relevant latest JDK version from the Sun download page. (you can find the link on my signature)
    4. Install it and configure the environment variables if necessary

Give a try and let me know.
