Book about a java desktop database application

Hello.
I want to create a java desktop database application (maybe with MySQL) , so I'm looking for a book that explains how to make such an application using an example. I'd like to have the source code, a MVC architecture, and software engineering as far as possible.
Can you please give me the reference of such a book?

Hello and thank you for your answer but it's not the kind of book I'm looking for. Actually, I'm not new to java and I want a complete example of a java desktop database application so that I can copy and adapt the code to get a well structured application.
But maybe I didn't post in the right forum ?

At the time being i'm a 2. semester computer science student and for the database matters we use, 'Database Solutions by Thomas Connolly and Carolyn Begg' and find very usefull to both setting up your database from scratch and the architecture behind it. It's not very advanced though but gives you a good idea what it's all about :)
