Reading Text Files

I just came up with the idea of creating a sort of "Magic Eight Ball" program. But, I think it will be more efficient if i have the sayings in a text file. I have not worked with text I/O at all. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Basic I/O in Oracle's Tutorial is a good place to start. Don't be overwhelmed: the first sections on IO streams are what you need.
