    Default Problem with Eclipse

    Hi:

    I have a problem trying to run a program I downloaded from Inet. The Source code is in this format: Program1.java. I open it with eclipse but i dont know how to run it. I tried to create a new project but I cant to put the file into the new project. How can i do this? Generally, How can i run a .java file with Eclipse?

    Go to the "Run" menu and click "Run...", enter the parameters and it should work.

    Create a new project with any name; create a new file Program1.java in it; copy everything from the file you downloaded to that file (you probably need another editor to copy from; you can throw the downloaded file away afterwards).

    Next you have to create a "run configuration"; go to Run>Run Configurations and press the top left icon; this creates a new configuration for you; fill in the blanks and voila.

    thanks, the solution is vey simple. I thought there was a way to put the file into the class and not to copy paste.
