Intranet: I need help
I have built a databased website for my pc. I want to access it on another pc using the following address
//192.168.---.---/mysite.com:8083 (where the IP address is the one for the pc that contains the files).
But it seems not to work. Can someone please help me with a simple detailed solution to this, please. The essence is to try my best not to alter the tomcat server.
Are both comupters connected to the same router? If not you may have to make a change in the DMZ to allow access to that IP from the outside world.

Yes, they are connected to the same router.
Are there error messages or ?
it seems not to work.
//192.168.---.---/mysite.com:8083 Doesn't look like a proper URL. It looks a lot like gibberish actually. The format is http: //ip: port/context/whatever I'm not quite sure what's what in your example.
Have you configured your tomcat to run on port 8083? You will either have to do this or port-forward the requests to port 8083 to 8080 (which is tomcat default). The first is really simple and you should consider it. Port-forwarding may be easy depending on your router.
