    Create a new project; you will find many options there among some of them are to create a project from existing files. If it already is a Netbeans project, you can simply open it, no need to import it.

    And you are very free to create an emtpy project and just copy the source files to it. To be honest, that is what I tend to do. At least then you know 100% sure what goes where.
