Im new to java and I just started using netbeans. There are a couple of things that are still new to me including breakpoints.
Can someone please explain to me what they are and what they are used for because i get the feeling its important to know their purpose to get the best out of netbeans.
Breakpoints are used when debugging (see that button just to the right of the green play button?). If you set a breakpoint and then start the debugger, it'll run until it reaches the breakpoint. From there you can go line by line and see the values of things at certain points in your program. As the name suggests, it's quite useful for debugging, at least in my limited experience.
