    Default Unable run web-service on JBOSS. But working well on Tomcat

    Hi All!

    I am developed one java web service, The web-service is working well on Tomcat server. But for live i have to move on JBOSS-V-5.0 it showing the fallowing error..,

    Please help me to figure out the issue..,

    Note:

    • jdk1.6.0_05
    • JBoss v5.0 at localhost
    • Eclipse : Version: Indigo Service Release 2

    This is a simple 404 Not Found. It probably has something to do with the context KellysJWS. Have you tried leaving out the context?

    Unrelated: Java 1.6 and JBoss 5? Really? I hope this is a legacy project you inherited that has a multil-million dollar maintenance contract on it. If this is a new project, PLEASE move to Java 8, Wildfly 10 and the latest standards.

    Thank you very much for your answer.

    Officially on live server they using the fallowing configuration

    • jdk1.6.0_05
    • jboss-5.1.0.GA



    But i not seen anything about configuration visually.

    Can you please suggest me what version of JBOSS comfortable for the above JDK version, i may try with it..,

    For the past 1 week i am struggling with this issue. I have completed the entire project by using Tomacat. But now they told me make comfortable for JBOSS. please guide me on this..,

    I was just saying if you are creating a new project, don't use ancient tools. If it's a live server than that's the setup you have to work with.

    If it works in Tomcat, you must compare settings. Where is the war deployed? Does it get the same context as the WAR file name or is it at the root in JBoss? Any Tomcat specific descriptors that are not translated to JBoss? It's been a while since I messed around with JBoss...

    My web-service is working fine, just i was removed "javax.servlet-api-3.0.1.jar" and clean the project. The bug has fixed..,
