Default Connecting to first JSP page

I need some help connecting to my web app. What am I doing wrong?
As for my code, I've been following this: Registration Form in JSP - javatpoint

There's a lot wrong with that example.
The handling of resources for a web application, the handling of exceptions, using a JSP to process requests, the lack of a servlet to do that job.

As for why it's apparently not working, what are you deploying it to, and are you sure it's actually running?

If I have java resources (like test.java), shouldn't I be able to run that on the server? It takes me to localhost:8080/Register/WEB_INF/classes/test.java, and shows HTTP status 404.
I figured out I need a index.html in the WebContent folder for this to work.
Tomcat says it is "Started, Synchronized"

You can't deploy a .java file to a server. You deploy the compiled class, and it has to be something the server would understand (eg a servlet).
