Default Strange behavior: JVM launches massive threads

    Dear all,
i think my problem is not fully related to youtrack or the other programs. More precise I think it is related to JDK 8 on my server. But I'm not sure if ths is the right place for my question.

I run a server for a small team of software enthusiasts. We have installed GitLab, YouTrack, Wildfly 10, artifactory and Jenkins.
All three products are running with Oracle JDK 8u121 on a Ubuntu 14.04 LTS server maschine. We own 16 Cores and 32GB RAM.

After the installation of Youtrack and Jenkins my server seems to hang every day. I checked the logs and recognized out of memory exceptions in the logs of all products.

I startet a memory analysis and discovered that all java based products start to launch dozen of threads at a time in parrallel. Normally I see five threads each product but in this case i see 20 or more threads each product which consumes all of my RAM. After a while my server dies because all my RAM is consumed.

If I say all java based products, I mean Jenkins, Wildfly, artifactory and YouTrack.

So my question is, if someone saw this behavior before. I'm not able to point one specific produkt for this behavior. All installed, java based, products seem to behave the same in this case. Dozen of threads killing my server...

    The Behavior short collected:

    1. YouTrack, Wildfly 10, artifactory and Jenkins start at startup
    i.: JVM args for YouTrack, artifactory and Wildfly: -Xms128m -Xss256k -Xmx1g -XX:MaxPermSize=250M
    2. All works fine for about 24h
    3. YouTrack, Wildfly 10, artifactory and Jenkins start to run hugh amount of threads
    4. Memory usag grows up and kills my server

Summary of my system and versions:

    Ubuntu server 14.04 LTS

    java version "1.8.0_121"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_121-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.121-b13, mixed mode)

    JDK: jdk-8u121-linux-x64

    Hope someone can help
