Default Where game developers get pictures/audio/cutscenes from?

I have browsed some indie developers developed games.
Found really satisfying pictures, audio, where I most unlikely to find via google search. Example: Where game developers get pictures/audio/cutscenes from?-m1_heal_large.jpgWhere game developers get pictures/audio/cutscenes from?-hero1.jpg

Do really developers have painted those +200 pictures?

I believe they may use some kind of pictures stock website?
If no - what software they could have used to create those?

Those images are developed by a graphical artist, not a programmer. They use a myriad of tools, Photoshop and its brethren, vector-based drawing tools (Inkscape-ish), post-processing tools, Wacom drawing tablets, etc.

After the image is done, it's processed into a texture so it can be applied to a 3D model.

This is my theory, since I am neither a game developer, nor a graphical artist.

The interesting part, it is developed by 1 human.

That's what I was going to say! But I backed off because I figured I would let someone more in the know answer the question. I can also say that these commercial games are like interactive movies. There are directors, graphic artists, production technicians, writers, etc. Could be hundreds of people involved. And I would bet the software they use is expensive.

This is developer Blog. He often writes " I did...".
Also his website design is not mainstream style.
Also his game itself have no animations ( because it takes alot of time to create and adapt ).

If there's no animation then those are simply 3d images, which could easily have been put together in something like Blender.
If he's been doing this for a while (and it looks like he has) he's probably got quite a lot of reusable frames to build on to get whatever desired image he's after.
A tweak here or there and push the button and he has a nice new model to use.
