    Default Java Freezing Problems

    Hi all,

I run a server-side java program which has been fine for many, many years up until I upgraded my hardware from Windows 2003 (32bit) on a single core to Windows 2003 (32bit) to 8-core.

The problem I have is that at (what seems) to be random intermissions, java logs etc totally go blank, users get forced out of the application and all logging/monitoring software shows a complete "void" for about 5-10minutes. Java then seems to carry on as if nothing has happened yet users need to re-log into my app.

The log goes from 09:30:58, blanks out for 4 minutes and starts logging again at 09:34:21

I see a lot of 27-Aug-2013 09:34:21 E:Error: ' Connection reset', presumably because the process has frozen and even logging can't pick anything up.

Can anyone give any reccomendations as to what could be causing Java to freeze up? Bear in mind this app was fine on the older hardware.

Any help would be appreciated as I've been pulling my hair out over this one!

    Threading issues?
This is not something we could debug here, to be honest, especially not knowing a thing about your system.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.
