Question Using j2ee to make phone call applet

I want to use j2ee VOIP to make java applet in which user can dial number and make a phone call. I have googled to know that there is an API that user can call and input a string that will be dictated to listener using text to speech engine [Moderator edit: link removed] . What I want to create is "VOIP" applet in which users can make a live phone call with 2 way voice just like cell phones.

Is there anything that can be useful in this regard ?

Not in JEE, and applets are not part of the JEE platform either - you're talking about plain old Java here. Try looking for some third party VOIP stuff using Google.
