    Default Decoding malicious java content

    Hi Guys

    First off I am new here so hello :)

    I work as IT support and I am trying to figure out what a particular piece of java code is doing

    WARNING!!!! this is malicious so it should not be fun on your computer

    It has been made as hard to follow as possible I'm guessing by its creator and my java knowledge is quite limited.
    Hoping some forum guru might be able to decode this gibberish for me :)

    Thanks in advance

    <snipped apparently malicious Javascript>

    Yeah, figured that out since this is JavaScript and not Java (which means you came to the wrong forum). Why not just try it out on a test PC. But first, you might want to reformat it.

    Removed the Javascript just in case someone takes a fancy to it.
    I'd have left it if this were the relevant place to ask the question...:)

    Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.

    I'll just add that not all obfuscated code is malicious. GWT, for example, outputs obfuscated JavaScript code.

    But yeah, you'll probably have more luck on a JavaScript forum.
