    Lightbulb New In JAVA Need Help

    Hi every body,

    I am hope to be best JAVA Developer in future but i am still new in this big programming language and I learned C# language it talk about 6 months for learn it and i am good in it but in JAVA i feel i am lost in it because there are many branches in JAVA like EE, J2EE, JSP, EJB, JMS, JSF, JPA, JTA and Servlets.

    I want to know how long to learn JAVA to be very good java developer and difference between EE, J2EE, JSP, EJB, JMS, JSF, JPA, JTA and Servlets ( some people say it talk 5 years (is that true?) ) and what is the start point,
    and what is the last version of JAVA to learn.

    Its a bit funny that you compare a programming -language- such as C# to a whole list of APIs, specifications and frameworks that are available for the Java platform. There are also many APIs, specifications and frameworks in the .NET platform, but apparently you never learned about those either. You can forget all that and learn the java -language-, and if you learned C# in 6 months then I wouldn't know why you need more time to learn the Java -language-. Of course then you still know very little about Java, as I'm sure you still know very little about .NET at this point.

    and what is the last version of JAVA to learn.
