Hello, i m new to this forum and i m facing a problem while working on my project.
I want to connect to a web service and i need the java.net package, but netbeans doesnt have it and i m searching for it on the internet and i m not finding it...
So please can someone help me and post me a link where i can download this package
thank u :)
The java.net package is part of the JDK. I have no idea why your IDE can't find it.
Check your spelling.
Post the full text of the compile error here.
i m not compiling my code because i m just trying to import the package : import java.net.*; and the IDE is telling me that this package is not found so i m not trying to continue because this is not working.
I m using btw Netbeans 6.9.
So what can i do.
I m trying to connect to weather channel web service and i need this package.
Don't know what is wrong with your IDE. java.net is part of the JDK.
Is your spelling correct?
Have you tried compiling the program using javac in a command prompt window?
ah ok but sorry i forgot to tell u that i m working with Java ME someone told me that i cant work with java.net in j2me, is this true?
Sorry, I don't know about j2me
Java ME is the MicroEdition Of the Java.
so it contain the Limited Classes and Packages.
Java ME does not contain the Java.net Package.
What U want to do.
I have no Idea how to do what I have to do. I have to connect to a web service to get an xml document and then display this xml document.
As I said I have no Idea how to do this, so please can you help me!!!
I think that you have redownload your JDK because this package is included in the JDK.
U have to use xml parser and DOM parser.
And u have to include package for this.
Like import org.xml.sax.*;
J2ME dose not provide the package for this.
