You're almost certainly in the wrong directory.
    Have you follwed these steps?
    Hadoop2OnWindows - Hadoop Wiki

Did you run that command "from the root of the source tree", as stated on that page?

Does that hdfs directory have a BUILDING.txt file in it? If not then you're in the wrong place.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.

I ran it from source where hadoop tar file located.

Does that hdfs directory have a BUILDING.txt file in it?
It is placed at hdfs directory only.

Please check the attachmentpom.xml file is missing in apache-maven-3.3.9 on Windows ( 32 bit )-untitled.png
