    Default Closing a database using close()

    I am reading the article at Creating and Using Databases in Android, and, I am trying to make code for a database adapter i.e. classes which allow me to interact with the database.

    So far I cannot understand listing 3, as it suggests a class calling itself, does this make any sense please?

    Java Code:
    //---closes the database---
        public void close()

    Default Re: Closing a database using close()

    The code at line 4 invokes the static method of the class DBHelper (always assuming that the code conventions have been followed).

    If you're forever cleaning cobwebs, it's time to get rid of the spiders.
