Question Immutability compromised if 'final' is omitted?

I don't understand the concept of the following:

    Q. "Your immutable system will be compromised if you don't make your classes 'final'."

Can someone explain this to me please (with a concrete example)?

Have you considered doing some research yourself instead of chucking a load of questions at the forum?

If you have, then what do you think it means?

We're not here to do your homework for you...
