Copying files is the same whether the file happens to be an image file or any other type. If all you want to do is move the file, see

transfer generally means move, I guess what you're after is copying, i.e. duplication.

Googling "java copying a file from one folder to another"
gives more or less what you want to do as the 3rd result, i.e. this page.
