    Cool Java WEB programming and Access database

    I have an Access database and Java applet. I would like to use them on internet/web. I need Java applet to connect access database and query data. When we use odbc, I think some setup should be done on client. I don't want to do anything on client. How will I connect to access database inside applet without using odbc ?

    First. to connect to your DB you should develope a servlet because unsigned applets cannot connect to non-native hosts... So you need something like a...

    applet <->servlet<->access DB

    And one more thing... use ODBC connectors for access CS

    unsigned applets cannot connect to non-native hosts
    Applets can connect to servers on their own host. How does non-native relate to this?
