hi all,
i have a handwritten document which is scanned and stored as an image.
i need to develop a code that recognize each character of that document.
how can we extract characters from that document? can anybody help?

Well that's a really hard making code.
You have to play a lot with algorithms and store seperate document bytes and start creating patterns for every letter that a sum of bytes will produce. Ofc a starting pattern has to be set, so a user must confirm if the sum of bytes your program have seperate is the correct letter and after many scans a proper knowledge database will be build to make the recognition easier. More or less u have to create your own ocr program. But why u want to do that?? There is plenty of ocr programms out there already.
yeah .. i know .. i just need to implement this in my project tht have similiar requirement..
In which case I'd suggest pointing out to whoever set the requirements that it's a rather specialist task, and will not be cheap to achieve.
