    Lightbulb Threading in Quad Core

I don't think this is possible.

First thing is that threads always share same memory space of JVM process.
Now if the JVM process is running in your Quad Core system, at a given time it will be executed by only one core (lets say Core 1) and within that JVM process the multiple threads will be running so logically they will be executing on the core 1 only.

Now, how can you execute a thread outside the JVM process? :D

    Thanks.
I have write a multi-thead program with thread pool, I have gained about the 2x speedup. I can see the two thread run on dual-core.
and i know that banding java threading with cores will influence the portability of java program.
Except JNI, can i band java threading with cores?
