    Unhappy Error loading c:\\...\jvm.dll

I have a swing based desktop application that continuously loops through a program in order to wait for a serial input. However, after a random amount of time, it opens multiple windows saying --

    "Error loading: c:\\prog. files.\.... \jvm.dll"

though the program continues to run, these pop-ups are very irritating..

    can someone please help???
    thanks

Are there messages in the console window? Run the program in a console window to see.
Can you copy the full text of the error message here?

    Unhappy

The error message goes like this--

    The are multiple windows saying:-

header - Java Virtual Machine Launcher
    Message - Error loading C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_07\bin\client\jvm.dll

Also, the program has been deployed as a JAR file and run from the desktop, and this problem has been faced by the users. I was not able to replicate it since its something that is quite randomly occuring on the user PCs.

    multiple javaw.exe instances
Is the app starting them? Otherwise why is there more than one?

ya the app is starting them...its another executable jar file thats been called from the program, which occurs periodically under a certain condition...is it because of these javaw instances that the dll error is occuring???i can put the code snippet if you want me to...

is it possible that these jvm.dll errors are caused due to broken registry entries??
