    Default how to get systems properties for mobile media api

    I am writting camera capture app in j2me. There are systems properties which can be read as :
    boolean b = System.getProperty("supports.video.capture"); it gives error identifire expected

    It returns true or false. But when I use :
    if (b ) {
    mMainForm.append("Supports video capture"); }
    else {
    mMainForm.append("XXX no support for video capture XXX"); }
    } hoping b will be true or false it is not compiling. It gves error illiegal start of the expression.

    Pl. tell me how to compare boolean values returned by the api
    Thanking you

    it gives error identifire expected
    When seeking help with an error, post the entire error message; don't paraphrase.

    System.getProperty(...) doesn't have a return type of boolean. Read the API.
