Default minimum word length in search problematic

I find the minimum word length in search problematic. With all the three letter acronyms in computers, a four letter minimum rules out a lot of useful key words in the search.

I agree with this jocassid... if spam is a factor, then a catpcha should be implemented with it. Captcha's not perfect, but it would help.

I tried the adding a space trick. That doesn't seem to make a difference (looks like they're trimming and splitting the string as one might expect).

Looks like v-bulletin would support shorter words, but would require some time effort to rebuild all the indices. In the VBulletin docs under VBulletin Options there is some info on doing this.
