    Default Request

I request db to re-open the thread "Abstraction & Encapsulation". These concepts are the heart of Java.
Without knowing this no Java programmer is complete.

I agree. But as you said yourself, that thread was going nowhere. And I translate that: YOU were going nowhere. Hanging around in this forum is not helping you, you really need to consider getting some form of schooling.

I prefer a self-learning book. Also, I am past the age to do any form of schooling.

Lame excuses. Nobody is too old to do training. In fact nowadays it is the other way around: people at increasing ages go back to school to further their education in this harsh, competitive working environment that we have created for ourselves.

Books don't seem to be helping you much either, since all you do is quote from them here and try to get people to confirm to you that your idea of the truth is real and not what is written down by the authors of said books.

Nonsense! No one is ever to old to take classes in a local community college or university.

If he did it for you he would have to do it for everyone because it would set a precedent. And then no threads would be closed.
