Avatar and Profile Picture

For some reason I am not able to post either a Avatar or a Profile picture..

I have a picture that is 100x100 pixels, that has a size of 15.1kb. It appears to be within the requirements of:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

I also have a picture that is 80x80 pixels, that has a size of 2.1kb. It appears to be within the requirements of:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Everytime that I try to upload these pictures, through either Option 1 or Option 2, it says:

vBulletin Message
Unable to save image

Am I doing something wrong, or is this some sort of glitch?.. Am I misunderstanding the requirements? What is meant by "(whichever is smaller)"? Is it just me, or are these requirements not written very clearly?..

So this problem was brought up 3 months ago yet there is still no official answer as to why, besides that of guess work. Should I take that to mean that this problem is not going to be addressed?

Only the forum owner can answer that. We moderators are just members of the community who put in time trying to make this a better place ... removing spam, pointing out rules and the like. We don't have any access to or control over the forum software.

Thanks for the response. I used the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page in an attempt to contact the webmaster directly. I will post the response I get from him/her below for future members.

If I try to upload a avatar that follows the rules

1. nothing over 80x80 pixels
2. under 19.5kb

the upload/link methods still fail.

Is there something I'm missing?

This was also reported recently in this thread so it seems you aren't alone. Perhaps it's a bug with the forum software or configuration.
