Members List
It's me again,
I have another suggestion for our community. How about the members list page.
Main Menu is the best place to add that page(s), number pages depend on the number of users and the content.
We can include following details there.
- Username
- Join date
- Location
- Total post
- etc...
What's your guys comments on this.

For this thread, i will wait for others' replies :) But i have another idea to implement for future. The forum software allows us to add custom fields (existing fields are joind date, location ... as you said) to the user's profile. For example, we can add JDK version, IDE, IDE version or similar fields to the user's profiles which will also be helpful while answering a user's question. But i was again waiting the forum to grow and see people's behaviors/questions... to decide on these fields.

I'm not really against or for a main page for user information as Eranga stated. But what I am totally for is more user specific customization. More information that I would approve as a forum member, I would check off in my profile which would then be updated on my profile page - as JavaBean implied. Go for it. :)

I think it is easy, if we can found one place to find those details.

CaptainMorgan and Eranga: Which fields do you suggest? Lets do some brain storming on this.. And later may be, we can open a poll for this s that community decides on which fields to add to their profiles.More information that I would approve as a forum member, I would check off in my profile which would then be updated on my profile page - as JavaBean implied.

As you said in your previous post, JDK version used, IDE and related details can be more important. General informations also can be fine. We can categorized them as well, like General information, Contact information, Technical information etc....
Still other people wont replay much on this...:(

All great suggestions.
I would just add things like other languages known/used, currently running OS, considered level of skill(how would you define your level? beginner.. two years, proficient, guru... etc), favorite books... currently reading..
just some things to consider.. I'll post back when I have more. ;)Vote for the new slogan to our beloved Java Forums! (closes on September 4, 2008)

Yep, but how it evaluate/define, on reputation collect by answering threads?
At the same time, we can put for how many questions involve a member to solve a question. It make sense as well.

BluaAura also upgrading
Hello everyone.
I peaked into the BluaAura Delphi community. I looks like they are also trying improve their site. The site closed down and they opened Delphi Fusion. It is using VBulletin advanced. See their members list. It appears that they do not have many fields in their public profiles. I just thought that it might be a good idea to see what others are up to. ;)
ThanksEyes dwelling into the past are blind to what lies in the future. Step carefully.
