Forum Guides
The document for describing "Mark Thread Solved" feature is posted here:
Forum Rules: Marking your Thread as Solved
Thanks to DonCash for this contribution. He will also be one of the moderators on the forum in a few minutes ;)
By the way, i created a new subforum called "Forum Guides" under "Forum Lobby" forum. We can post our guides to users to this forum but please make sure the guides has a clear purpose and they are high quality guides. It is best to discuss content of them with other members here before posting it to the "Forum Guides" forum.
For example, as a starting point, if anyone want to develop a guide for java newbies, i will be happy to publish it on "Forum Guides" forum once it is ready to publish.

Don, welcome to the club. :)
Just as an addition to your guide, you may want to include the point of the option is not actually available until one's thread is answered by at least one member(unless it's been changed). I saw this after trying to test out the new feature recently and then read here that this was in place as an added security feature to prevent misuse. I've also seen threads where folks never receive a response to their thread, yet they post back to it stating that they had solved the problem themselves. Something to consider I think.Vote for the new slogan to our beloved Java Forums! (closes on September 4, 2008)
