i am going to create a new online examination application and want to provide all the facilities that should be provided and want to overcome all the limitations in existing applications so can any one give me the list of facilities and limitations in existing applications that i should provide. ?

I think this is usually app, where you can use MVC pattern.
First I think you need implementation a identification module and module checking spent time.
