Java Forums Rules
Forum Rules
In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules:

Search Before Posting

To avoid multiple posts on the same topic, please do a search on your topic. Your question might have been answered before.

No Cross Posting

Please do not start more than one topic (in the same OR different forums) with the same question or message. Read the forum descriptions and pick the most appropriate forum, and start your topic there ONLY. Starting multiple topics with the same question or message is confusing, splits up the discussion / answers and makes a moderator's job harder. Please resist all temptation to cross post.

Use a Title that Describes the Content of Your Post

When asking for assistance on a particular topic, please use a descriptive subject to illustrate your situation. Please avoid the following generic examples:

"Help Please!" or "Need Help! or "Little Help"

Instead, be descriptive and concise. For more information, read http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html.

No Advertising

Do not advertise ANYTHING on the forums! We have a forum for you to advertise in, and that's the only place we will allow any sort of advertisements to do with Java. Anything else will be deleted, and so will your IP and website!

No Profanity/Adult Content

Absolutely no profanity or explicit sexual references are allowed on this board. All content must be PG-13. In addition, do not post links to adult content on other sites.

No Bad Language

Please use the language appropriately. Do not use acronyms/abbreviations excessively. More than one or two acronyms in a post will make it harder to read. And DO NOT TYPE WORDS IN ALL CAPS.

Keep the Focus

Questions/comments outside the scope of a certain forum/thread will either be moved, locked or simply be deleted.

Signatures

Signatures may contain up to two lines. Users can have only one link in their signatures.

The signatures may NOT contain any images and maximum font size cannot be larger than normal. They may contain a maximum of two smilies or one animated smiley.

We reserve the right to ask you to change and/or remove your signature or avatar at any time, for any reason.

Warnings and Ban

Users abusing these rules will be warned. Users continuing to abuse these rules despite the warnings will be banned.
