Java Editor dor Windows XP needed
Dear Members of the forum,
My name is Frank and I am new to this and Java community in general. I have some experience with BASIC language and have never worked with OOPs like C++ and Java. I figured out that I can do programming with Java using Sun Microsystems' latest JDK package and tried it already with windows command prompt. OK, this is doable, I guess, but sometimes a bit cumbersome without a decent editor which could tell you where your problem or error might be.
So, my question is: Is there a decent Java editor for Windows XP with free license to download online? If yes, can you please direct me to the online link where I can download it. I used Kate software in Linuz based OS, but as you know I have XP and all the link I found by googling are either pricy or full of scam.
Please help and I would be grateful to the eternity! :)
Thank you in advance!
With best regards,
Frank

Or for a lite weight one, try JCreator.

You are welcome. :) Since this is the first time you are working on with NetBeans, it's better to go through the quick start tutorial available on the official web site. It's really helpful.
