    Default windows registry

    Hello guys,

I want to read a subkey from the windows registry.
I found a solution on the net (rgagnon.com/javadetails/java-0480.html) to read a key, but it returns a stream and doesn't actually read a value.
also it will return the entire set of subkeys, when i really only need 1:
    Soft directory: 3.6
    DB REG_SZ 8.21
    SP REG_SZ 0
    Path REG_SZ C:\Program Files\Soft\
This is what i get with the above code (whih i adapted a bit). I only need the Path (C:\Program Files\Soft\)

How can i put this in a string?

That operation is not straightforward in Java, because it's not any OS specific language. You have to make a DLL using such windows specific language, and then use JNI to call your DLL through a Java code. Hope it's helpful.
