    Default Session and Entity beans

Could someone explain to me what these beans are and how to think of them. I've looked all over online and couldn't find anything that has allowed me understand it and I am probably more confused than when I started.

How do I imagine them and what do they do, any examples please?

    Thanks

How old is this book? I have the idea its at least 10 years old given the choice of terminology.

It's pretty new. I was just wondering if you could explain how to think of them and what they actually do.
