    Post Java Terraria Generation?

    I was wondering if anyone had some good articles or sample code on how to make terrain generation like Terraria or King Arthur's Gold? I've been trying various noise libraries all day with no luck, I think I'm doing it wrong.

    Red Blob Games has some cool articles about terrain generation. Red Blob Games
    Get in the habit of using standard Java naming conventions!

    There's no article for side-scrolling terrain generation. I am trying to make a game like King Arthur's Gold or Terraria.

    Are you searching in the context of Java? If so: don't, this is a generic theory topic not bound to any specific development platform. You are searching for algorithms to implement, not libraries.

    Right, I'm not searching for specific Java-related terrain generation I'm just Googling Random Terrain Generation and not getting any results that are working for me. Does anyone have any good articles or sample code they use in their games?
