    Post question to get start with Java

    hi,
    If I learn now Java SE edition and after if I want also write applications for mobile , then I have to learn also Java ME edition or Java SE edition is OK for mobile applications.

    No JavaME is quite different from JavaSE. The language is the same, but the standard API is totally different.

    Do you really want to do JavaME though? Wouldn't you rather invest into learning how to do Android programming?

    wat do you mean , that I learn android ? I think android uses onother programing language than the Java and which is that?

    Android uses Java, that's the nice thing about it. I bet it's on more devices than Java ME is at the moment. On a side note, the Raspberry PI has a JRE too, so that opens up even more possibilities. (Getting Started with Java SE Embedded on the Raspberry Pi)

    can I not use java Se embedded whitout raspberry PI , just on a notebook to learn it?

    my other question is wat is the difference between Java ME and Java SE embedded.

    I was merely stating that if you want mobile device programming, you should not rule out Raspberry Pi et al. You can run Java SE on a lot of devices, pc, mac, Windows, Linux, and R-pi.
