    Smile How to involve user input not using a Scanner?

    Hey can somebody tell the code for user input, not using a scanner, using the buffered thing, and with up to date code please. Plus also kind of explain it. Thank You.

    I think what you are referring to is the BufferedReader object. You can use this along with an InputStreamReader in order to get input from the keyboard. Give it a try and see how far you get. Ask questions if you have them. I'll give you an outline.

    -Create an Input Stream Reader
    -Create a BufferedReader, passing the InputStreamReader that you created to its constructor.
    -Use the BufferedReader to get the input from the user.
