Default Do I have to know system internals to develop a big Java software?

For a java software like a client relationship management (CRM) using LAN for windows, do I have to know windows internals, registry , winsocks ..etc ?
if yes, what is a good resource to learn system internals from a Java point of view?

No. That is one of the listed language features. Since it runs on a virtual machine you should NOT need to know about these things. Knowledge of them will help in tuning the VM and in performance optimization, but, for the MOST part, should play no role in the programming of the application.

Not necessarily, but it helps a great deal to understand the platforms you're working on, especially when diagnosing problems (of which you will have MANY when you develop a "big" piece of software).

None. You learn it from a computer science perspective, totally unspecific to any programming platform.

Note that it might help you more to in fact learn how the Java virtual machine ticks in stead of the platform that the Java virtual machine abstracts away from you.
