Default What Language to learn when I want to connect/merge different software?

    Hello,
say there are 3 companies out there with a different software they sell each.
now I as an entrepreneur want to merge the software or combine it in a way that adds value.
What programming language should I learn to be able for the 3 different software
    to interact?

And what if i want to repeat this process over and over again with always new software that's
    coming onto the market?

    Java?

    Thanks!

None. There is no magic language that allows you to "merge" existing applications. The existing applications need to be adapted so they can be interfaced with each other. If such interfaces already exist, for example in the form of web services, then you can basically use any language/platform you want as a glue in between them.

Languages are like tools. You wouldn't hear a handyman asking whether he should learn how to use a saw or a hammer. You need to know a little bit about each, so you can at least recognize the right tool for the right job.
