    Question A couple GUI questions.

    I just started to get into making GUI's and I have a few questions.

    First, how can I put my JLabel anywhere in my window? When I add my stuff in, like this:
    Java Code:
    add(stuff);
    It would just put it in the top middle of my window. How can I decide where to put it?

    Second, How can I add buttons to my window? All I really know now is JOptionPane for popup's and JLabel for text.

    And how can I change the font and size of my JLabels?

    That's all, really. If someone could help me out or link me to a topic that explains it well, that would be awesome. Thanks!

    Check out the Oracle tutorials in my signature. All that and a lot more is covered.

    Click on the Really Big Index and look through it.

    Well, I could. But then you wouldn't learn anything. You really need to focus on reading the API's (JLabel -- probably a font method there somewhere). And in the index, How to use Buttons. Just search for it in the index. Search for buttons.

    So you don't even know if what I need is in that long list of things I don't need?

    Whatever I'll just find out another way. Thanks for being so helpful.

    In this forum, we aim to help folks help themselves. Had I just ignored your post, you would not have any ill will. So I take the time to assist and you complain.
    I can assure you that with that kind of an attitude, you won't get much help on this forum.
