Default Playing audio files, simplest way possible

I've been wanting to include audio in some simple programs I've made for a long time now, but I've been unable find anything that actually works for me. Seriously, I've scoured the internet for months and I haven't found anything that works. I've tried using the JMF API, but after setting it up, I still encountered major problems. Another problem is that my school's computers don't allow the necessary access for installing things like APIs. I'd like to try out the Java Sound API, but first I'd like to know any simple ways to play audio files without installing any extra things for Java. Thanks in advance

You said you encountered major problems but you didn't elaborate. You need to provide more info so folks won't waste their time giving alternatives that might give you the same problems.

Good point, sorry. I'm not very well versed in things like this. Often, I would get errors in the code, before even running it, while doing something like following simple tutorial videos, copying the code exactly just to get it right the first time around. I really can't provide specific examples, but it would be a lot of different errors I don't really encounter. I tried JMF, and I followed the instructions for installation, and a simple tutorial for some basic code in it, which provides a GUI for opening files to play media. I actually managed to get the GUI and everything working, but it wouldn't actually display the media I selected, be it video or audio, or even a picture, only a blank window. Sorry I couldn't really provide many details, I'm not great with this stuff.

Here's the JMF video I used, I suppose it might be able to provide more info than I can as to how I might of did what I did wrong.
