Default Help- integrate unity3D written in C# to java application in NetBean

    Hi developers,

I am a novice in java programming and I would like to seek some suggestions from you.
I have a java application and a unity3d program and I have to integrate the interface of the unity3d into the GUI java application. The application is actually about displaying the sensor input and the unity3d will be like 3D motion..
I have googled and saw something called JNI library.
Appreciate if anyone can give me more ideas or maybe how can I do this.

    Appreciate your help a lot!

    Thanks!

JNI allows your Java program to make calls to functions written in C or C++; your target is written in C# so you also need a mechanism to call C# functions (methods?) from C or C++ ...

    kind regards,

Integrate is REALLY vague. What is the intended result? If it is somehow showing the GUI of the C# application inside the Java GUI, you are in for a big disappointment.

EVERYTHING is possible. But not everything is:

    - achievable within the capabilities and circumstances
    - a good idea

I beg the question: why on earth would you want to use Java for the GUI when C# is also perfectly capable of producing a GUI? It is simply a Very Bad Idea to want to mix platforms not designed to be mixed, unless it is your hobby to make your life as difficult as possible.

Because I have a java application in netbean and originally it show the video camera in the UI and unity3d is use to show another 3D motion using sensor input. Now i wan to replace the video with the unity3d to display in 1 UI that why I wan to replace the video camera panel to panel which shows the unity3d program.

A video FILE and a C# APPLICATION doing hardware 3D rendering are not exactly the same thing. Let me phrase that differently: they're entirely not the same thing.
