Default Adding swing components to a tabbed panel

Is there a way within the Nebeans IDE to add swing components to a tabbed panel? I downloaded the example tabcomponentsdemo but it does not use an IDE, it makes direct calls to Java.

I'm not certain what you are talking about. IDE's are simply facilitators. They just make writing code easier. Check out JTabbedPane to see how to add components.
